Which title is more senior than the other at JPMC? VP of Product or Director of Product? I would think VP is more senior coming from tech companies but banking can work differently. Appreciate the clarity.
VP titles in banking sector is just fluff and given out to almost everyone. It’s the closest for team lead

It really depends on your team. If you’re a VP anywhere in HQ chances are directors in tech offices would be licking your boots
unless its executive vice president. vp just seniority
Titles are reversed in banks. Director is higher than VP. The highest title is MD. Even CEO has an MD title.

Welcome. Keep in mind that there are multiple levels of each title. MDs make from $500K to millions.
Director in this case. I am a VP which is only a P5. Director is a whole other ball game.
