Been DocuSign for more than 5 years and got promoted several times now a P5 engineer. Manager values me and was giving me high refresh every year. But I think the company isn’t doing well and don’t like the new leadership style. More importantly, the technology here feels old I have an offer on hand from AWS L6, still in talking to figure out the number. But with the latest refresh my TC with current DS stock price would be around 470k until 2026 even without any new grant. I think AWS can beat the number but might be a bit hard since I am in greater Seattle area. Seeking advice whether want to stay or leave, AWS for sure will help me grow as an engineer
AWS
If you have the offer in hand you must have a number. How in hell are we supposed to do "offer evaluation" if you don't share the number?!?!?! I would have written GTFO too, but I must give you the credit for leaving your current TC.
They said they have an offer for me just working on the details. How is that not possible? HR call you first to let you know you passed the bar right, then you have the number
Fair enough. Then let us know when you hear the numbers. Depending on them the decision may be easy to make (in either direction) or very difficult :) but you already know this
Yoe?
8 YOE
If you feel like you aren’t growing at dsign, you should pursue new opps. At 8 yoe you should start preparing for the peak of your career that’s to come soon. Amazon is undoubtedly a great name on resume, huge scale, big teams, cutting edge tech. Though I hear pip culture isn’t fun so I declined their offer.
