Woman’s offer rescinded due to pregnancy
Just saw that Aurora laid off 3% of its workforce. Was it engineering? ops? L3? L6? what's the distributing of laid-off jobs like? #layoffs #Aurora #selfdriving link: https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/autonomous-driving-firm-aurora-lays-off-3-staff-2024-01-25/
3%is normal cut off.
wdym by normal cut off?
"Under 70 people" was the number I heard, entirely across hardware and software
3% is pretty low, seems the layoff was performance based and just some fat trimming?
I mean, the official word is that it was a "business realignment" and not "in any way based on performance" but yes given the scale of it, and who was let go, it does seem like a way to fire people without saying you fired them.
is this the same layoff as this or different Check out this post! "I heard Aurora (AV) did layoffs today. One of my friend was laid off in SWE. Not sure how big the layoff was (Tech)" https://www.teamblind.com/us/s/rTcKEN1N
yea looks like the same!
