Crazy returns . Curious what the compensation was for people who joined before IPO for grade 5 and above. And existing employees.. TC 300k + 150k options #hardware #semiconductor
I had an offer last year with a 200k base and 300k stocks (priced at $38) . I thought mine was low-ball .
Kind of regret not taking it. Right now it's value is 800k+
And you still wouldn't be able to sell at until March 12th. Check back what the price is then. ;)
G6 Austin. close to 1M total stock.
Vesting over 3/4 years?
I believe it's 3 years. If you don't mind sharing what price we're you given stocks at and what amount
G5 Austin currently at around 700k stock. Btw OP your grade 5 offer was great I think
Yeah 😭
Nobody can sell yet, hopefully it doesn't drop lol
Yeah... 😭
When can we sell it? When is the lock in period ending?
G5 UK, $450K vesting till 2026.
G6 1.3 M total stock. Vesting almost half of it this year, ther rest over 25/26. And annual review is around the corner, so add more stock
do you think the units awarded will be the same as before? Usually companies give a $ amount so if it drops future vests would drop off a cliff.
I have reports and the amount of RSUs for last year is pretty much the same amount for this year. Or at least that was the value suggested in the system.
Maybe US employees are doing good. UK and European employees are still poor.
Peanuts x3 is still peanuts.
It's ridiculous isn't it, uk company but they pay the us guys so much more for the same job
India: Grade 6 100k + 120k usd shares
Stock price will drop after March when ipo closes
Not if Softbank hold onto their 90%
Let's see
https://www.levels.fyi/companies/arm/salaries/hardware-engineer/levels/staff-hardware-engineer/locations/united-kingdom Not a great deal to brag about it seems. Many still won't even be able to afford a house in Cambridge or Austin. That's assuming the price holds past the lockup period and Softbank doesn't liquidate them.
That’s still like a top 2% salary in the UK. Are there any companies that pay much more for semiconductor engineers around Cambridge?
Probably just Apple, I'm never sure if the levels info is in USD or GBP. A house in south of the UK costs 600k+ unless you're willing to commute from middle of nowhere. When it takes an insanely inflated IPO to afford property where you work maybe your employer is shafting you.
