Hardest decision in my life! Which offer to choose?

Hi guys!! I have asked here before but things have changed… it’s definitely the hardest decision in my life. Any advice would be appreciated!! Situation: I’m in the US. Got laid off two months ago and grace period is ending soon. Need to make the decision as soon as possible. I only have 2 years and 2 months left on my h1b out of 6 years without approved i140. So job security and being able to get approved i140 in the next two years is my top priority. Two job offers to choose: A: A private golfing manufacturing company. Full time position. Salary 95k. They only have worked on 3 green card before but they are willing to start green card day 1 for me. And the attorney they worked with has good google review. The last time they laid people off is 2015 and 2008. Median tenure for the people there is 5 years. B: Kforce staffing company. 1 year contract with intuit. Salary 160k. I’m the employee of Kforce. They do day 1 green card sponsorship + batch processing. They said the contract would not cut sooner than 1 year as long as I have good performance. And they promised they would get my approved i140 within a year with batch processing and even after 1 year when the contract ends, if the perm application is still pending, they will not withdraw the application and could give me approved i140 for me to use for my new employer. The position with intuit also has potential to extend by 6 months or convert to full time based on headcount and my performance. Checked myvisajob and Kforce has filed a lot of green card and h1b with very few denial or withdraw application. It’s so hard to make the choice. For option A, they seem more stable, but they have low pay and are inexperienced with green card application and can’t guarantee no layoff in the new two years… For option B, only concern is the 1 year contract, which means I need to be anxious from day 1… but higher pay and higher chances to get i140 faster. Can anyone help me evaluate these two offers right now? Thanks for you help!!! #offer #kforce #h1b #perm #layoff

You will learn more and grow more at intuit. You found the job once and it shows you can find it again. My recommendation would be Kforce for long term view.

Go with option B - companies with not much experience in GC - it is hard for them to figure out and file.

Company B if gc is your priority

How so? It’s a one year contract and afaik getting perm/I-140 nowadays takes more than a year.

They said they found me a good advertisement so they could do batch processing.

If I-140 is the main concern, you should consult a good independent immigration lawyer. I feel lots of variables on the company B and company A promises are straight forward..

I did had a call with lawyer today… they can’t make the decision for me tbh. They said if B could put everything in offer letter that’s good. But you’ll never know what will happen in the future😂 damn I wish I only had one job offer as I hate making decisions.

Get option B and focus on doing a great job so that you can secure the next contract easily.

Be prepared for the case when your i140 is not available at end of 2 years. I do not see any guarantees for that in both cases. In fact no company can guarantee. Even in case of stable companies, there can be some rejection cases.
