In all my years as a realtor in the bay, I have never have to delay closing until today. I recommend a couple of good lenders I have used before to my buyer and he ends up choosing CHASE mortgage since he already used CHASE. BIG MISTAKE. On the week of closing, I called Gina, the lender and she said everything is good to go Monday when closing was Friday. just waiting final approval from underwriter. Come Wednesday and Thursday when escrow and I asked about loan docs, NO RESPONSE from Gina, 2 days before closing. Finally 2 other lenders Kevin and Robert replied saying they are taking over since GINA WENT ON VACATION. She did not tell anyone in the transaction she was going to be gone. We ended up getting a 1 week closing extension from Sellers, which should give everyone plenty of time. Buyer submitted documents this Monday to be approved by underwriter. No response from lender. I called everyone’s manager and no response. FUCK. Random chase reception agent answered and gave update on loan status, asking about issues with files that were NOT brought to attention. Today I learned Robert now is on vacation and Gina is back, but have no idea what docs were needed. Managers and underwriter not responding about if we will make this extended closing date. I called Kevin at 1pm today and he was at lunch, and I called at 4pm today and he LEFT the office. FUCK. Please please buyers out there, DO NOT USE CHASE MORTGAGE. I have never encounter this amount of incompetence. #mortgage

I have chase private client and it’s great. My banker at chase is great. I have a chase investment account with tbill ladders and it’s also great. However, avoid chase mortgage
I have a private client account too and I went with chase mortgage because they were the quickest and offered the most benefits. Like Amazon said, ymmv.

Yeah first republic was good and was giving the best rates like 4.5 in March/April time of this year but that was before their death
