Got contacted by a Workday recruiter for a Sr PM role in the Bay Area but yet to speak with him. Wondering what the compensation for this level looks like. Also is full or 4 day/ week remote even possible? TIA! For reference, this is what levels.fyi shows: https://www.levels.fyi/t/product-manager?compare=Workday%2CFacebook%2CSalesforce&from=more_button&countryId=254&modal=workday%26p4 16 yoe (Sr PM), Bay Area, 🥜
Workday has hiring freeze this could be gc interview or dummy interview .
Not true at all lol. Any open req you see on the workday site is actively hiring. My team has a few open.
Open req != hiring. I've seen PM open reqs for over 6 months now, but I know personally no one has been hired because of the freeze
P4 PM in PLS between 160-195 base about a year ago. Initial Stock grant around 120k. Yearly 10% bonus paid out quarterly (2.5% per quarter). So first year TC probably around 225k
Company wide policy is 2 days a week in office. But varies by manager. Full remote may be possible as teams have a 10% remote quota but it’s usually reserved for people with disabilities + very high level folk. I’d say it’s worth a shot to negotiate it esp with 16 yoe. Also from my exp as a SDE the recent data on levels.fyi is accurate.
OK, thanks! Appreciate the input. I'm currently fully remote with it potentially reducing to 4 day/ week. So, have to think about commute. Do most Workday folks live in the East Bay?
I’d say a vast majority live in the tri-valley area. I live in SF myself and the commute isn’t horrible. The biggest rush of people come in Tuesday and Thursdays. But again it’s a very flexible hybrid system, no HARD guidelines. I would definitely see if full remote is on the table both of my PMs are fully remote.
