Meaning of life - work and die for rich people
Seeing a surge in HW job market lately and considering switching to a dv role as it’s still sort of a programmer. I’m not very into climbing the ladder but more desired to stick with a safer role in the tech industry. The aspects I care: Less competitive interviews. DV wins. Less toxic/drama culture. DV wins (might be case by case) Less likely to get PIP’d. DV wins. Outsourced to India? In the short term SDE is a hot role to be shipped to Asia. Not sure how it looks like in 10 years. Industry security. SW is 100% more sustainable. HW seems to be in the sunset. (The AI hyper will either benefit the business/SW or those companies will drop to hell) YOE:5 TC:290K
