Anyone who works there? I am in the interview process and I would love to know about what is it like working there - projects/wlb as this will be my first time in a trading firm. TC: 400k SGD yoe: 9 #hrt #hudsonrivertrading #singapore #tech
I had a pleasant (1/2) interview process but ultimately they wanted me to relocate and I didn't want to so we stopped. From my research, it's one of the better trading firms and it sounded like they have a more tech first approach during my conversations. The WLB seemed to be, the harder you work, the higher your bonus. It didn't seem like a total grind.
I see, thank you!
I cannot answer for Hudson personally, but typically hedge funds / trading firms / prop shops have bad WLB. I personally find myself working on average of 60 hours per week. And it is not because the team is bad, but rather the business / top management have no idea of the complexity of the things that we are doing. I get into shouting matches with project managers coz they commit on deliveries with businesses/ traders without consulting IT first.
Just curious what role you applied and do you have c++ background? Am interested in applying as well but not sure if my lack of c++ will put me at disadvantage

Where can I get best chai (tea) in Bay Area?
Hudson River is a dirty place. They couldn’t have come up with a better name? I’d not work there just because of their name
They give 400-500K USD to 22 year old new grads. Next time keep your mouth shut
For doing what? What part of that is the base, and what part is the variable bonus (individual perf + market perf)
