in california. just resigned. usually it is typical for me to receive all my final paychecks on the last day, but amazon still has 1 weeks worth of pay and all my PTO which i have not received even though i am no longer employed there. should i contact them. i see california law says after 72 hours they will owe me for each day they dont fully pay me by my daily salary equivalent. if they forgot im thinking i can wait a few weeks - but will they honor this?
They will honor, just wait.. they cant afford to not pay.. too expensive to have a law suit.. Many big companies take time but always come through, has happened to me..
They will pay you on your next pay date.
Could you please update us here once you do get the paycheck, with whether or not Amazon paid you for each day they didn’t pay you after the 72 hrs?
Happened to me I got my pay the following week with about a weeks worth of extra pay which was nice. I just wouldn’t say anything and let the extra days rack up
i’m in the same boat now. the law states that you should receive your final paycheck on the last day of employment if you gave “at least” 72-hours advance notice. in other words the clock should start ticking the day after you officially leave. i’m on day 5 now. had i known i wouldn’t have called and opened up a ticket
My last day was last Friday May 21 but I see my final paycheck today and the period was just listed as May 9 - May 22, the date paid is listed as May 28, I’m in California but didn’t receive any extra pay for this week... do you know if they will send another stub with this weeks wages paid out?
Judging from the timing it kind of looks like they abided by the law. If anything you may have a 1-2 days of pay but I wouldn't expect them to send it automatically. I think you would need to call and open a ticket if you feel the need to press the issue for 1 to 2 days of pay. I waited almost 4 weeks for my final check so my situation was a bit different.
Give it some time. Amazon is loaded will not avoid paying you that.. You will get it
