Just curious how much a data analyst actually makes at non faang companies since the numbers online are extremely low. I’m discussing a pay raise with my current employer today but I have an offer in hand for another company. Just trying to gauge what I should ask for from my current employer. Current TC: 71k Yoe: 3 Current TC offer from other company: 104k How should I proceed with my company? #dataanalytics #data #referral #hiring #jobhunt #microsoft #slack #paypal #facebook #twitter #dropbox #amazon #atlassian #brex #google #instacart #square #twilio #faang #datadog #snowflake #rubrik #bloomberg #stripe #snap #lyft #uber #spotify #apple #robinhood #yelp #vmware
$104K is decent, but i would say aim for $120+ if you want to be at the high end of the scale
Not FAANG, but comparable pre IPO tech company, Senior Analyst 160K TC in NYC
If you use the other offer as leverage, you better be prepared to walk if they don’t match.
I’m in NYC with 3y of experience, make 105k base. Not a FAANG.
I recently accepted an offer for Flexport. Base is 90k + 45k stock at current valuation

Quitting this Slave life
Location? In a high cost of living area, 70k sounds like an entry level Salary. 100k would be like ‘senior analyst’ level
I live in Denver, employer is based out of Atlanta. Company giving me the offer is also out of Atlanta
Depends on the company and area. Questions impossible to answer. In the Bay Area, a senior analyst salary can be anywhere from $100k to $300k
