Hi, I have technical phone screen scheduled for next week. I have reviewed the questions on glassdoor and easy frequently asked coding questions on leetcode. Can anyone suggest more tips? Has anyone recently interviewed with Fb? If so can you share questions you were asked? I heard that they have updated their question set Any tips or information would be a lot helpful. My visa is about to expire and hence I'm in dire need to get this job. Please help!! Thank you for reading my post and replying #facebook #dataengineer #dataengineerinterview #google #amazon #netflix
OP, if you are interviewing with Product team, go over the questions in the previous commenter posted..they will ask the exact same questions..they don't change it for a long time lol
previous commenter? you mean the one given by "spooky "?
Yes
I cleared mine last week, be mindful about 2 things. 1. Edge cases in programming round 2. Explain clearly
were your programming questions similar to the ones posted on glassdoor? what is the difficulty level for SQL? completing SQL questions on LC is enough?
https://towardsdatascience.com/the-facebook-data-engineer-interview-345235afaac0 I came across this post. Hope it helps for those preparing for the DE interview
I just got done with the interview. Please do the questions on glassdoor. https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/python-program-to-find-second-maximum-value-in-dictionary/ this is a question that is not on glassdoor For SQL follow:https://leetcode.com/discuss/interview-question/807990/Facebook-SQL-questions-DE
Apart from the gfg Python you listed, is Glassdoor still up to date?
I think so
Anyone ideas on Onsite?
If it's for neilkod team, run run run away!
I might be part of that team? is there any specific reason which I should know? Please DM me.
People who had given recent phone interview . Can you please post the latest questions ?
Are you serious?
Yes very much

Why is it so G*damn difficult to move money out of India
It’s 1-hr long. Half of the session is SQL and the other half is algorithms. SQL for me was quite easy, they prepare predefined tables and a problem statement. They also provide the expected result and they allow you to retry the question if it’s not correct. For algorithms, the first three I went through fall under easy in LC. However, I wasn’t able to get passed the third question since I didn’t practice enough. They will ask time complexity for algorithms. Time is key, get through as many problems as you can, even if they’re not efficient. I was ultimately rejected since I couldn’t explain time complexity or pass the third question. Honestly, it’s not hard, I just didn’t practice like I should have. Algorithms 1st Q: Count number of occurrences of a character in a string. 2nd Q: Given an array of Ints, if any Int is null, supply the prior value in place of the null. 3rd Q: Given two strings of keywords, get unique keywords from both strings. This isn’t just a distinct on keywords, rather you have to identify which keywords exist in the other string and throw them out. For the third question, I couldn’t get passed the last test case, which I believe is why I was rejected. I was interview last Monday and I received a rejection email the following day. Good luck!
Is the tc of data engineers generally less than software engineers?
At Facebook, yes.. base is comparable..but the equity is almost half of SWE's..they treat DEs like a second class citizens..
