Given that it's a consulting role, (@ AI lab) what kind of questions can I expect in a technical round? And what does the interview process usually look like at PwC. Any help would be greatly appreciated! PS: it says data engineer but the responsibilities look more like that of a data scientist. Would also like to know more about AI lab Thanks in advance
It's more fluff in the JD than actual work. It will be basic data analyst work, at most data engineer work.
Okay. I know management consultants travel a lot but how do technical assests travel around? Are they assigned projects just like the rest of the consultants are. Or do they belong to a team? I know nothing about it given the only experience I have is from a Fintech
Run the other way. Don't go to PwC
You guys are still there..... ..?
Nope. Ran away as fast as I could. My biggest regret in life was joining PwC. Good luck

Why do you all keep saying that? How about if I just want to get a dip into consulting?
I’m in a different lab at PwC. Lots of room for super technical projects, innovation support. Reorg of PwC will help out huge for AI space as well. PwC is more consistently being rated as a top firm for AI
That's good to hear! What are some more specifics of the interview process that I should know? Idk if it'll be a casing kind of an interview or what
And the recruiter doesn't seem to know more than what's in the email either
I have worked at both Capital One and PwC and would not recommend joining PwC. It’s a more sales/revenue driven environment/culture, where management cares about selling more rather than (proper) investing in building good products. Most product builds I have come across are glorified demos/POCs. I would recommend if you do end up interviewing with them, do your due diligence and ask them the details around their approach and what kind of models they have built etc.. to gauge the maturity of that team/product. Alternatively- I would recommend you try to switching internally at CapOne within a better org like Card.
As wonderful as that would be, I'm a contractor here and I feel like my team doesn't treat me like I belong here. Does that change your advice now?
AI lab is a better team within PwC doing more fun AI projects but I would not join if I had to choose....
