I would like to know if anyone has recently interviewed at JP Morgan for the Data Engineer role. #jpmorgan #dataengineer #interview
Hiring process typically looks something like this: 1. Behavioral interview with recruiter. Mostly questions about previous experience and why you’re interested in role. 2. Technical round (usually of 1 leetcode easy and a SQL question) 3. Side quest based on hiring manager preference. (For me, this was to clear a barbarian encampment near the College of Winterhold and bring back the barbarian leader’s helmet as proof.) 4. Jedi council meets weekly on Friday to determine if each candidate meets the criteria for Jedi Master 5. If criteria is met, your future MD kidnaps you in broad daylight and takes to you an Eyes Wide Shut style party at Jamie Dimon’s house in the Hamptons in the trunk of your own car 6. You are lead to the basement where you must best your future skip level manager in hand-to-hand combat (the Sith rule of two surprisingly also applies here, so you and the hiring manager will have to assume the skip’s role) 7. Swear a blood oath to both Jamie and the Lord Rolgan Mal Töm (this will cause you to learn that you are Dragonborn) 8. Prove your new abilities as Dragonborn by shouting at least “Fus” (“Roh” and “Dah” can be learned during onboarding) 9. Receive offer letter (about $85k) 10. Sign commitment to 90 day onboarding at the facilities in the College of Winterhold 11. Learn final “Roh” and “Dah” shouts during onboarding (candidates who fail here will be kidnapped by Orcs and taken to Isengard to labor for the rest of their natural born lives) 12. Onboarding Pizza Party (Your celebration for making it this far. Plain pizza only is provided. Any desired toppings will need to be purchased out of pocket. If you want pepperoni, that’s not JPMC’s problem) Best of luck and keep me posted!
A few canonical inconsistencies here I know, but fortunately the recruiting team is very open to suggestions to make for a streamlined consistent process
My side quest when interviewing was actually to go find a daedric artifact but maybe they deprecated that question bank
I was actually asked to spin up Skyrim Complete Edition on a TI-84 with the Obsidian Weather mod implemented. Funnily enough Bethesda is releasing it in Q4 2025.
I think I was on your review council and passed on you because you left out the Enhanced Lighting on the Obsidian Weather mod
Depending on level, it's 3-4 rounds. 1) Recruiter - behavioral 2) Hiring manager - mix of technical and behavioral / fit 3) Peer interviews - mostly technical, 1-3 interviewers 4) (Senior roles only) Skip level - organizational fit / vision Good luck!
Thanks man! How long does it take after the technical round to get update from the recruiter? I know it varies with team but want to get general idea
Should be quick... Depends on collecting feedback and the overall process, not you
