Data/PM at Gaming or Esports companies
Are there any gaming/Esports companies hiring data science analytics or PM roles? If so, what are these roles like and how does TC compare to FAANGs?

I have worked in esports in a data analytics role, it paid peanuts. Generally, gaming companies pay less than FAANG, unless you manage to find one of those rich startups or money earning phone game companies.
Same here. I think Riot pays well but they're harder to get into than any FAANG.
Worked at Riot on the DS side and it was not as high in terms of TC.
EA has roles open. PM me if there is a particular studio/product you’re interested in, I have connections in most.
What's the yoe they look for
Depends. There are definitely some director+ roles floating around. For our console games there are multiple roles looking for folks anywhere from 2-10+. Not all hiring managers are super open to considering folks who don’t already have games experience for more senior roles, but if you’re passionate about a particular product and have experience that you think translates well, I can ensure that your resume goes directly to the appropriate hiring manager.
Look at ‘Insights’ on the Riot careers page. I could probably make more at faang but I cleared $400k easily last year so I’m not really concerned either way (~12 yoe).

I’m a Director (M5) on the publishing side. That total comp includes a nice multiplier under our new bonus structure so I don’t know for sure whether it will always be that good, but I’m generally very happy with Riot’s comp.
