Currently deciding on whether to take an offer from Datadog. With a signing bonus my Y1 TC is higher (270k), Y2 is pretty much on par with what I'm on now (245k) but base would be lower and in this market, don't really wanna have stock making up a decent chunk of my TC. Was hoping if folks from Datadog could give an insight into how raises / refreshers work? Does your base increase annually without a promo? How about refreshers, are they heavily performance based and do they stack? And finally, how easy/hard is it to get a promo to SE3? Refresh is kinda new to Datadog. Finally, we have a proper refresh system. If your performance is not too bad, you should receive every year. Salary raise is around 5-10% even without promotion. To get promoted to Senior, you need minimum 2 years, the average is 3 years.
So what’s the percentage looks like? 10% of the initial RSU or a range based on level and performance?
I joined before IPO, so hard to tell. In my case, my refresher was around 150% of my annual salary for 4 years.
