Can anyone working at Datadog tell me about how the work culture is in general and what are the growth prospects of the company like ? TC180K
Can anyone refer me to datadog? Interested in few openings in Europe.
Seriously, why do you want to work at Datadog after NVIDIA?
Nvidia India not US. Applying for Europe roles.
They have horrible recruiting practices.
+1 agreed.
Can you elaborate? Very interested to hear your experience here.
Culture is great. I joined 2 months ago as a new grad SWE to the NYC headquarters and I've met supportive folks all around the place across different teams. I feel growth opportunities are amazing since the company has an aggressive hiring/growth strategy. I joined the internal analytics team and the tech stack is amazing (relevant data engineering technologies in my case). 145K TC and 20k sign-on bonus is what I'm getting. Not sure how salary would look like as an experienced hire. I highly recommend the company
Hey datadog, could I dm you for a referral? Thanks!
Remote friendly?
Can someone give a referral for a design poison in Europe? I am currently in Europe.
Churn and burn mentality on the sales team. You are just a number. Good old boys club but much junior freshman type of club. Good tech but the retention rate is horrible and majority are not making their number. Check out repvue if you don’t believe me.
Can someone refer me for datadog?
I think it’s great, very chill and nice people. You can reach out to pretty much anyone and they’d be happy to talk to you. WLB like most places depends on the team. However, I would say WLB is good across many teams. I personally love the tech here, there was a review posted recently on here bashing the tech, I def think it’s a troll review because DD is def using a lot of modern tech. In terms of growth prospects, I think it’s fantastic if you can get into the APM department. I’m in that department so I guess I’m bias, however, DD was just named a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for APM which is really good! DD is growing really fast so it’s exciting to see the growth, anyways, that’s the general run down :)
I agree with the above. I see a lot of qualified and deserving people getting promoted on the high growth teams.
There are lots of modern buzzword projects being used (k8s, gRPC), but the architecture is extremely dated and leads to painful on call. If you are on a backend team, you can expect to get woken up in the middle of the night on every rotation.
