Is anybody using Charles Schwab robo advisory ? Seems like it doesn't have any maintenance fee. Though it keeps around 9% of capital in cash. How has your experience been ? Does it give returns and is well diversified ?
Use Wealthfront. They are just copycats.
I have Schwab, their robo is decent I can’t complain but I’ve considered fidelity or vanguard because of potential cash drag
Does Fidelity/Vanguard have robo advisory accounts ?
Yeah Fidelity and Vanguard has robo
Only a few years into my test so too early to tell but so far intelligent portfolios > wealthfront >>>>betterment
Started Schwab Intelligent Portfolio in August 2019. Performance since then is +36%, compared to +38% for S&P500. So underperforming S&P a little. In good times, S&P seems to go up faster but during the March 2020 dip, my portfolio went down a lot less hard. Because I work in the financial industry, my personal trading is restricted. Having a managed account is one of the few ways to be in the market. TLDR: I like it and I’m not going anywhere. Edit: I was also lucky to get paid a bonus in the midst of the March 2020 dip, so I put in quite a bit of cash (“buy the dip”). That probably also accounts for my good performance.
I also had the Schwab intelligent portfolio for 2 years. I used the riskiest settings, and the returns were slightly below s&p500 as other people in the thread have said. I closed it since these days I have little more time to spend picking stocks or researching. Otherwise it is pretty good, given that there are no fees.
It's about 8-12% yoy
Wow, that's pretty good then.
I've been able to do better because it doesn't go for risky bets, you can focus on ARKG and ARKX when it comes out
