DeShaw offer India
Recently got confirmation from HR that I have passed the interviews and will be getting an offer for Project Lead by next week. Wanted to know how much can I ask for? Will they will be able to cross 1.2 cr? Current TC - 81 (45+6+30) Yoe - 8 UPDATE: Got the offer: Base: 60, Bonus: 30-35, Jb:10 Seems to be a lowball offer, overall disappointed with the offered TC of 90-95 (excluding JB one time)
They once offered a friend of mine(3 YOE) a counter offer of 1cr( he went for Uber, who offered 75LPA), so yeah, they can go really high.

I don't know, I think de Shaw is all cash being an HFT
De shaw can offer around 1.2 definitely, have heard of people getting 55-60LPA last year itself for Sde2 before the TC boom, 1.2 should be doable for lead role
Whats your level at msft mate? I know for Sr Software type levels they can offer 60+20-30 as offer. 1cr seems possible but idk if 1.2 is.

No idea. Trading firms have lesser number of employees and confidentiality as part of contract. So hard to get a figure for the role, let alone max. Also depends if it is a front office role(related to live processes in which case it can have direct impact on PnL) or backoffice (non critical processes).

Lowball for senior level, Don’t settle for less than 1.2 Cr, you can easily get that for senior levels in many companies
I don’t think so - 1.2 cr is too high for DE Shaw I think. But if I am proven wrong, please let me know.
How much can they max out?
I think 1.1 but again no harm in asking for 1.2. Would like to get proven wrong. Best of luck.
