I have been in car market for 2 years - Most of the dealership are just ripping out people Insane markups on all of the cars I was trying to buy 2017 car - its just 4k less than brand new one and they deny selling you new one. A toyota sales person was driving 230k porsche, how can a person with 120k salary drives 230k car? Bonuses? Commissions? 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 #auto
Then SWE should die too. Always, demand and supply.
Supply Demand doesn't work when the government intervenes. For example, it's illegal in most states for a company to sell a car directly to consumers. So we have dealers even when there's no demand for them. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla_US_dealership_disputes
Even with rule. It is still demand in this context. If there is less demand for a car, the dealer markup is less
Agree, dealerships are "protected" by state policies, which introduce undue friction and costs - almost a forced middleman that takes a cut. Free markets should let companies and buyers decide whether they are needed and get out of the way. If you are forcing a middleman for cars, why not for electronics, or anything else? It is inefficient with time and money. Sure have a few for those who prefer those, but don't force it down everyone's throats.
I will be the first one to celebrate this all goes to shit
Buy a tesla. Best car purchasing experience ever!
First eliminate RE agents. We will solve this problem later.
Used car market is going to go low very soon. They’ve picked up on new inventory, so used car prices going to drop crazy. That’s why dealers want to sell you used car.
They'll be around for a long time. https://www.cbtnews.com/desantis-approves-bill-partially-banning-direct-to-consumer-car-sales-in-florida/
One of DeSantis' few mistakes.
Agree with you. How dare non tech folks get inflated salaries and afford fancy cars. That’s our right. //A toyota sales person was driving 230k porsche, how can a person with 120k salary drives 230k car? Bonuses? Commissions?
No wonder Amazon employees doesn't understand the logic - its not about being in tech and non tech - its simple math - take your head out of the "leadership principles"
Yea, we suck at logic. Also, look beyond company identities. Sure you don’t define your identity with SAP? So why should I with Amazon?
