Expecting an offer from Walmart IN5 staff engineer position. Need help in deciding whether I should stay or can think of moving to Walmart Global Tech India. Read a lot of bad reviews for Walmart here in Blind. The thing is that this year it is going to be my cliffing year at Microsoft and my stocks are at their peak, after next year the CTC will be down by at least 25-30L. Can someone please tell if the IN5 level is actually an inflated level? Because levels.fyi says that it matches with 65 at Microsoft? How much can I negotiate with Walmart without any competing offer in hand at the moment? Level 63 Current CTC ~ 88L Base: 38L Bonus: 0-30% with 15% target. Stocks: 40L Next year CTC in 2022 will be ~65L, not expecting a promo or SSA. #walmart #microsoft

I am IN-4 base 40+10bonus (25% of base ) +10stocks(25% of base) 7yoe. In5 is 42-55 base + 25% bonus + 45% stocks

It is for the Backend role.
I have been with Walmart for some time now and experience have been great so far. Your compensation will be based on your base salary. In Walmart at level 5 you get base + bonus ( 25% of base target) + RSu(45% of base as target). My bonus % have been 112-150% , usually expect 100 to 125% bonus if you are meets expectation. You may get around 50L base , 12.5L bonus, 22.5L rsu(5.5 in first year) Any rsu difference you are loosing in next one year should get as joining bonus. Since you are coming from Microsoft you can push got a better ctc. If you like the work and team then go for it.
Thanks a lot for this. Considering 50L as base it would be 85L with joining bonus worth of 16.5L to cover the rsu vesting gap for first year. This is going to be less than my current TC for first year if I join vs if I stay at Microsoft. What happens next year at Walmart, I will get 5.5L more than my previous year because this time the rsu would vest 50%, but then there would not be any joining bonus right?
How are you calculating your TC 88L for first year in MS? Are you considering 30% bonus at MS or 15%

I don't think you will get hike on your current CTC. As mostly base will be less than 60 for IN5. Apart from base 25% bonus + 45 % stocks (it vest in 4 year)
