Decline offer twice

i got a offer from company A before accepting docusign offer. Things were not going great at work. So i reached out to the company A for previous declined offer(which was around 7months) to see if it was still on table. They scheduled a coffee with a hiring manager and director and now want to move forward with the offer again as they really like me. But i got the internal transfer stuff going and i really like another team now. Current Manager is okay with the transfer. How do i navigate this situation? My first preference is staying at docusign. But internal transfer takes few weeks and i am expecting the offer from company A on monday. i dont want to burn the bridge. At the same time, i dont want to decline company A offer as well before transfer is complete. TC: 370

Make sure you get a lot of money if you’re going to leave

You will definitely burn bridge if you decline again imo

Ya. I feel the same. I don’t know what to do now. Director was upset last time I declined. I am worried because it’s a small world.

If he’s upset he couldn’t close the deal, then he shouldn’t be upset at you. Just his inability to close. But if he’s upset at you, that’s a red flag.

Whoa DocuSign pays 370?

Ellie Mae Krinkle Sep 6, 2019

Careful. If you play with 🔥 you will get burned. It is a very small world.

No it’s not. That’s such a scarcity mentality. There are literally tens of thousands of hiring managers and at these levels people don’t move companies as much.

You haven’t accepted the offer yet so it’s not that bad, but I wouldn’t expect another offer from them

Just go. Changing teams rarely changes things significantly.

At 370k it's not worth the risk to jump ship (imo) unless if DocuSign is not doing well

Tell them that DocuSign made a counter offer. Give them a ridiculously high number. Chances are, they won't match. If they do match, you now have ridiculously high salary. Either way, you win.

Now that’s a great idea

370k at Docusign at which level?

DocuSign oEiB26 Sep 19, 2019

You would be surprised. Many lower level people who got in pre IPO with equity make more.
