hi professionals on Blind, anyone wokring at DELL? received DS intern next sunmer at Round Rock, but just got couple other intern offers. try to see if the company is a good fit etc. any discussion/info would be appreciated!
One of the best companies in terms of WLB. Benefits are also good.
Agreeeed... no one can beat Dell in wlb
Concur. WLB is what you make out of your role.
I interned at Dell a few years ago DM me if you have any specific questions happy to answer them.
There is also a bit of a good ol boy problem. If you're not in the click it's really hard to move your way up. More so than at other Texas companies.
BTW yeah wlb is great, and to be honest if you're smart and lazy it's an incredibly easy job. This is for sales.
Good ol boy is problem. Also they have a stated goal to have 50% female managers by 2025 or something close. If you aren't a female and want to eventually be in management, you will have an uphill battle.
What you want to know?
Thanks for replying! How is working culture there? Is office politics strong or more of laid-back? How is the food/cafe in the campus?
Wlb is good. Nobody works totally crazy hours. Office politics is bad. Food in round Rock is awful and prices inflated. Lots of other options off-site
