It seems like there are layoffs in Deloitte across functions and offices. Are other firms going through anything of the sort? Deloitte enjoyed decent revenue growth this year. I'm not sure what's the driving factor for this layoffs. Sounds like Tax was the one to take the hardest hit. Does anybody have inside information in Chicago and LA? Do you hear anything about Deloitte or other firms' performances? I'm trying to gather pieces to see the bigger picture.
All quite on north west.
I'm surprised that the layoffs are happening in Tax. I thought tax was as stable as audit. I guess there's. No such thing as job security now.
I have a colleague in EY on the gulf coast saying here have been layoffs in tax.
I have heard of several happening today in the Chicago Tax office...multiple levels. TC2s, experienced seniors, senior managers.
yesterday GES was hit, today is BTS
Layoffs from assistant to senior manager level in audit starting from the beginning of summer in the north east. I've heard the tax practice is experiencing the same at the moment.
Wait, that means EVERYBODY.... i can't believe this
So this really is cross functional and across the nation... that really worries me. I thought we had a good year??
15 people laid off over last two days in chicago tax. Rumors have it that it might go up to 30-34 people until end of the week. I hope I'm wrong
Hmm.. it seems peaceful in silicon valley. Deloitte here is the smallest of all four and i don't think it was any particularly better year for the since the IPO market dried up. However, i didn't hear any major layoffs from my friends in Deloitte. I think Bay area is mostly calm at this point.
