Yes, I’d love to leave my Software Engineering job to do tech support for boomers
This can be a super cool job depending on the field. Common for swe to take this job for a stint in the Whitehouse etc.
It’s for a shitty small company in the middle of PA.
Ok? Wasn't saying you should take it just saying it can be cool if the client is in Virginia for instance.
I get a lot of leave your 650k TC for a contract to hire job in Texas for 1/6 of the comp
“This is a great opportunity exclusively for you 🤪”
I would point out how stupid it was, then they would ask me to to refer them and do their job.
Or I worked at a FAANG company leave your management role at your company for a vendor / contractor role at the same company
Or the classic… “hey I have a contract role for a bank that’s on-site 3 days a week” lol
Lol i gotta a call from someone exactly what he said. Now are you telling it is scam? Lol
This is using an email template they send to everyone. Don’t take it personally
Haha I’m not. Just insane how bad they are at their jobs
For someone who’s trying to convince someone to do something, being super disrespectful IS being bad at your job.
These are automatically generated messages, makes sense
"white glove" makes the job sound like a personal assistant; a very bad choice of words imo.
No. I am not laid off yet. Thanks.
Don't take it personally. This spray and pray method is just statistics. They will probably get some candidates. Keeping them will be the hard part.
White globe service, with a tray!
I think that translates to, “you’re going to get treated like shit when they ask you how to restart their computer, and you’re going to take it”
I work in support (GCP enterprise customers), and yes, that’s what white glove means. You get treated like dirt, both by customers and by their lackeys (account managers, sales reps) internally. It’s not worth it. Not even as a foot-in-the-door endeavour.
