Democrat Leaders are scared of the Democrat Left

Democrat’s base want things proposed by the left (increasing the minimum wage, healthcare, and “green new deal” all poll in the 70s or 80% among registered Democrats but also high in the general population) 2. The Democratic base is larger than the Republican base 3. The leadership of the DNC want to ignore the wishes of their base and try and sell their voters on policies intended to appeal to Republicans (the mythical never-Trumpers). 4. Trump’s support is basically the Republican base. 2016 was an election of mobilizing respective bases and by ignoring their union base, expected midwestern voters did not show up for Clinton. So why are the DNC and DLC type leaders doubling-down on a strategy that failed in 2016? Because they are scared that voter left-populism will drive Wall Street and big donors from the party. So now we have a right-wing party with the Republicans, and a moderate Conservative party with the Democrats. They already are, but end up voting for a party that’s more interested in Wall Street and building prisons than carrying out the wishes of that multi-ethnic base.
It’s already comical watching the diverse Dems self-destruct. They’ll probably go with Biden or Beto. Safe white male bets who are beholden to corporations.

I think democrats need to walk a central path that would appease both never trumpers and the “yeah i will vote for the person whose policies are best “
2016 election showed us that most republicans, even those who are skeptical about trump, will vote for republicans. Democrats need to inspire turnout like with Obama in 2008 rather than trying to win Republican votes
40% of eligible voters don’t currently vote but would probably support things like increasing the minimum wage (and many in this group of non-voters did turn out for Obama). But the “pragmatic” moderates want to focus their national strategy around 1% of never Trumpers. It’s a terrible strategy unless your constituents are really only Wall Street and big donors who obviously want the status quo and not the change the base wants.
I was a middle of the road person until 2016. Now I'm considered "far right". Funny thing is, by views haven't changed. The left has gone so much further left it's incredible.

I’m down with Kamala Harris. I think Elizabeth Warren is smart but she doesn’t have the nerves of steel you need to go against Trump. He gets under her skin too easily and she wouldn’t do well in a debate.
