Does any one feel denial of reality check that company is way behind in innovation, cloud and talent by CEO when asked is unbearable? I have been in IBM for couple months and it’s really hard for me to listen CEO speech. It just sickens me not only employees but CEO himself is in denial of accepting reality check that they are lagging behind. Seems like whole company is stuck in 2005.#tech #ibm #ceo
I was there when Ginni was CEO (R&D). Everything she was doing we knew it could not steer the mothership
IBM always dumps tons of money into some moonshot product, hypes it up, then it fails to deliver. (Watson) Now they are hoping quantum computing will save them but it won’t because it’s IBM.
Can’t agree more, how can you run company on 2-3 jargons(currently Watson, quantum, OCP) that general public don’t use or understand.
Watson for CEO!
In one of the companies I worked we were to do some compliance stuff and we're using IBM product. The actual service had software bundle size of 450MB and the compliance clinet to install was 1.5 GB. We were paying a shit load of money and spoke to IBM guys and explained our company concerns (space was critical limitation for us ) and we were told it is what it is, we dumped that IBM product. Same with AIX and p-series machines. We so much wanted to use them and spoke to ppl at IBM and explained simple x86 will cost us probably 1/10th of what p series machines would cost us, none herd us and we dumped AIX for Linux Not once regretted that we dropped an IBM product and moved to something else .
I’m not surprised
2005? How about 1995. Does ibm even exist?

Ginny 🦆 ed IBM, AK continuing it. IBM will die a bad death, - past employee of IBM products group
Actually Sam Palmisano was the reason IBM lost it, if a sales person leads a Tech company you get IBM.
