I work at Amazon and it has been awful. I came here as a fresh grad, like an empty box and they have put me with so much crap. My manager is extremely negative of any contributions I make. Each day I am being pulled down. I am technically apt but unable to work anymore, they have killed the innovation and exuberance within me. My manager works crazy hours, never pushes his higher ups, takes crazy loads of work over the team and then expects us to work like robots(like him). I have lost complete motivation and started to see myself as a failure. Please provide your inputs on how to run away from here, I want to get out but I have to work crazy hours to meet my goals(can't change teams). Please do not troll me. #depression #tech #amazon #badmanager #onfocus TC: 🍌
I would sincerely suggest you to Leetcode and GTFO of Amazon. Working at Amazon is not easy and WFH makes it worse. Trust me there will be a lot of people with similar condition as you in the company. Don't take it hard on yourself, it's just the start of your career. Still a long way to go. Taking some time off will help you.
I did that exactly. Would have done it sooner if not for Visa restrictions
The depression holds me off a bit. I have started leetcoding and will be out soon but the deep impression this experience has left on me is concerning me. Want to take a break before my next adventure.

Typical amazon nutcase 👆
says the one who doesn't know what a joke is
Recent grad hired into the retail team as well, completely WFH, new team , skip level manager who never asked about my category or helped, and when time came for reviews, he put me on focus.. even my VM who I work closely with was surprised at my review and said I’ve been doing great.. Considering leaving before the stocks make me stay
The management is total crap. They are just here to play politics and meet their quotas. I am sorry to hear about your situation. It's an abys, once in it, it's almost impossible to get out. I don't really understand the policy this company works on.
Yup! Learning that now. They started me on a team down one person and never replaced them.. so a team of 5 became three new hires catching up and meeting/beating goals virtually? Absolutely no credit was given to anyone, just higher targets and negative feedback. And don’t get me started on the salary they started me with for the amount of work I am expected to do.
Amazon is the #1 Employer is US* *According to rankings by LinkedIn
I am not sure what criteria LinkedIn uses to determine these ratings 🙁

I was the same situation. I resigned and now grinding for another company with better pay and interesting work.
I think momao gave you the answer. How long have you been here again?
2 years
Then you beat majority of tenure, just move on
Just leave. Amazon is toxic AF. Don’t let it define your self-worth.
Hey, 🥜is our trademark.
Changed
Lol @ Microsoft
I know this is tough advice for someone early in their career, but you need to leave Amazon. Trust me. Even if you find a non-FAANG job you’ll be better off mentally and emotionally. Amazon has already been confirmed as a hire-to-fire company.
Were you previously at Amazon?
I am starting to look out. Just stuck with this depression.
I have a friend who’s growing their team and they seem really happy. DM me.
I am in same situation as pickapi. Would like to get referral to move out of Amazon. Any leads would be appreciated.
