Design Culture at FB vs Google
Hi everyone Considering to move and wanted to hear from the people that made the move from FB to Google what their observed differences are. I hear a lot high level differences but wanted to double down and see what people here are sharing about it. If you didn’t move from FB, how would you describe the design culture at Google? TC: 300k

My general understanding so far is that FB has better compensation, Google better WLB. FB more design driven, Google more Eng and UX driven.

I would say that it’s really PA dependent, dome teams have better culture than other. There is a lot of Global UX community and ton of knowledge and training and fairly thriving online space(group chat), easy to find a decent mentor, etc. What I’m missing is a sense of united guild, sort of like better professional connection bc it’s so big (4500+ UXrs)
