Are there companies where designers are paid the same as engineers? Feel like snap should be one Thinking of switching to design TC: $280k
Lots of designers already but not nearly as many openings. You can only design so many screens / components for an app.
Snap is definitely one. Our VP of design is like 29 and never had a job before his internship at Snap.
Damn, that’s an incredible career trajectory
He was Evans frat Bro at Stanford.

Keep wishing. The supply of designers is growing almost exponentially. In a few years more competent designers will be willing to work for less money than you make, bringing down the tc
And AI will be doing the work of engineers, so lol…
^ tell me you’re not an engineer without telling me you’re not an engineer. If you ever used AI to code, you’ll realize why you’re wrong. Designer industry has been and will continue to oversaturate and tc will drop no doubt about that
