During the questionnaire of an interview process online how do you answer the question of desired salary? Do you low ball to get an interview or ask high to get what you want. I research the average salary for the position but what are your thoughts?
Or fill it out with your desired salary. No reason to waste your time or theirs.
Valid point as well
Just keep putting in '9' until the field can't accept any more characters
Hopefully humor is a job requirement
Tbd, negotiable, leave blank
I usually put "negotiable" unless I truly have a bottom dollar figure. Then I give a range. Expect the offer to be the bottom number of that range, and the counter to be in the middle which they may or may not accept.
I agree leave blank or TBD. If it requires a number put something ridiculously low like $10. Filling it in can only hurt your pay negotiation later. Most of the time a manager will ask you again anyway. Also recommend not telling what you want to a recruiter--but ask them about the pay range instead. They are told to gather this info even if they have no interest in you--it for databases.
I follow recruiter groups on FB and someone posted a similar question recently; the general consensus is that putting down $1 or something like that implies you are negotiable.
Don't fill that field out. If it's "required" put "0"
Good idea
