Please Help :: Should I pursue CS Masters in USA or remain in India to join Startups?

Facebook was never the highest paying company right?
Comp is always based on individuals
Any snap people open to giving a referral? 🤓
snap is not the highest paid company. With the new re-level FB e6 will map to Snap L5. Snap L5 makes around 550k per year without stacking refresh, and I believe E6 can make much more than that with a good performance.
Lol, sure
Seriously, I know people who left from FB to snap one year ago, FB e4 -> snap L4.
Yes
After Tuesday, I expect to see a lot more sports cars in the office lot(whenever we go back)
Why, it’s not like they’re offering more RSU value, it’s just the people that have been there that had a previous stock grant at a lower value. It’s not like if you joined today you’d be making as much as those people. FB or any other company has the chance of their stock skyrocketing. It’s about how much it grows while you’re there, not before you got there.
Given that Facebook is a 700b company and snap is like barely a 50b company, I'd put money that Snap has a much higher growth potential. Though I made that decision a year ago and my TC has more than doubled 🙌
I mean sure, if you can predict the market then you can find which company is “highest paying” but as a foil to your point, it being a smaller company also means it has a higher chance to go to worthless. There’s no reward without risk.
No because neither were/are
There are stories of new grads (undergrad) making 900k+ total comp at Citadel after performance bonuses in their first year. I don’t think FB or Snap come close.
Why would you say that? Do you have any data points to share?
Although I believe the answer is “No” to OPs question, I question your reasoning. Datapoints are based on historical past data. Since yesterday, SNAP stocks are up by 38%. So, probably that is what led OP to ask it.
But stock grant is always based on value of the stock...
