Every company I’ve worked at has had some training that has used as an example that you are not allowed to take clients or coworkers to strip clubs. That seems so crazy to me that that was ever a thing. From anyone who’s been around a while, did this really used to happen?
Sales
Ah we use to call the Gold club in San Francisco, Conference room G, so yes this happened all the time. This was 2012
Ahh yes, the GC! Brittany was my go to!
Kim still there?
The training is for normies. Directors and above do what they want
Factssss
Yes. EMC sales team even paid for the VIP rooms. This was back in 2014
Yes all the time. Although expensing something like a strip club is tough since it is cash heavy without receipts. Normally my manager just had me “drive it off” (record fake trip mileage for cash reimbursement)
Team lunch in the strip club was a thing in the 90s.
Can confirm. Once our director (at a previous job, not Disney lol) rented a bus and a keg for the whole engineering team and drove to a strip club 2 hours away. Expensed as a "team builder".
Oh my god!
In some mom and pop small business to mom and pop small businesses yes. In banking industry they do that to some “clubs” with young women they hire as employees when you order alcohol, but not straight out stripping or pole dancing.
Bruh lmao
How does this work? Do these teams have only men? Do the women go as well? So confused
Our Sales team does this all the time. Start with steak and lobster and $1000 bottles of wine. Then proceed to the strip clubs.
Makes sense why snap stock is not great
Our ads don't work so we gotta get sales somehow.
