Aggregated inflation is 20% over the last 3 years. If your NW and TC didn't beat 20% you lost money. Did you beat? How much did you beat by in %? I lost both the TC and NW battles. 200K TC
I beat myself
You made less is not the same as you lost money. Base salary hasn’t kept up, but NW and RSU comp appreciation have well beaten the inflation.
Your RSU at Google is big enough to uplift your TC. Not every company offers that proportion. There is a big world outside Google
I increased my TC by 100% tats another way to beat inflation ..
I'm making less because I chose a more stable government related job. Not every year will be a crazy growth year. I don't want to boot lick but I can say I'm grateful to have a boss that supports me and my WLB, a job that's stable, a comfortable roof over my head and enough money to afford care for my elderly dog and have kids when I choose to. Even though I'm not making the crazy money I made right out of school, I am still in a very lucky position and it feels dumb to cry over not stacking cash as fast as I was.
Happy for you. But this poll is just about if you have kept with the inflation.
Did not lose money. Made less money.
Beat Inflation or not ? Question can't be this simple
My house value went up significantly
Which location? Keep up the d good work
Base went up 6%, so I lost on this component. Gained on RSU's nicely, and I've been aggressively saving/investing so my NW has grown a fair bit. Paid off my houses too, and they've appreciated very well.
I beat by double. Turns out financial advisors are worth it.
They're not.
OP what did they tell you to do?
