After moving to Seattle, how long did you keep your car before you sold it or otherwise got rid of it?
Don't need a car if you're living and working in the downtown area.
Bernie wants us to be all poor. Edit: I’d keep the car.
The daschund flies at midnight. The brown towel is on the white wall. A floor is a very tall thing. This is fun saying things completely unrelated to the post.
Look at the moniker of OP. on the current page = part of the post
So far I've kept it. It's nice to go get groceries or go on trips out of the city, but I honestly don't use it more than 3 or 4 times a month. Definitely questioning if it's worth it, but since its paid off its only about $300/month for insurance and parking.
Bought another one.
Zipcar in downtown
Sold mine before I moved here. Bought a new one when I moved out of the city
We sold one and kept the other just in case. Seems like Seattle has a ton of options. Amazon also has a bunch of commuter benefits as well; like a free ORCA card.
Yes. I hardly use it in the week. But for the weekends... It's worth it IMO but I have a car I really like for a good price. If you just have a junker I would sell it and use like zipcars But I walk to work in SLU, use public transit usually to run errands. I use my car to explore what's outside the city and all the amazing hikes. And all the road trips from the area
I really wish I hadn't. I never use it. I walk to work and from what I hear from friends the commute to slu is awful. They're paying us money for every day we don't drive to work and they're charging money for parking now.
