Different compensation for same role at FAANG?
Hi guys, I’m wondering if there’s different compensation range to the same role in the same company? For example, is it possible that SDE 3 in Amazon has different salary ranges between AWS, Amazon music, Prime video? Or maybe YouTube, Waze, Google search? SWE TC: 270
Nopes. they are same. But getting exception difficutly depends on org budget.

Only real difference in initial offer (unless you have competing offer) would be AWS specific roles in ES
It’s the same. Sometimes during initial hire you can possibly negotiate more if the org has more urgent need. Ie AFAIK you can probably get 10-15% more at Amazon within AWS if you have competing offers since there’s more turnover. You’ll doesn’t mean you will always get paid more, just that they might be able to do a little more if you have leverage
It's related to compete offers instead of PA. If you have good compete offers, it's possible to get TC out of the range.
