My understanding is: 1. Recruiter will directly reject you if he/she sees no hope your packet is going to pass the debrief/hc. 2. If packet is mixed, a debrief among all interviewers + a director will be held, and a consensus is made to admit or reject. If packet is a clear hire/no hire, no debrief is needed. Directly reject or go to step 3. 3. If your packet passes debrief, it goes to a final exec review which determines level & compensation and rarely overturns hire/no hire decision.
3 - Not true. Your compensation is not determined by exec review. It’s the finance team.
what an amazing piece of information...!!!
I take most people get mixed reviews.
Interview, debrief, candidate review (final stage for hire/no hire), offer committee. Candidate review includes VPs and directors. Level is determined at candidate review.
If the debrief is mixed, does that mean anything? Recruiter says try again in 6 months and didn’t get any formal rejection emails. Not sure what to make of it. I know it’s still reject but not sure if this means I need to go through the entire process again or can I just go to onsite, etc.
You can skip phone screen next time if you did well on the 2 coding round. If you messed up on coding round, you'll need to redo phone screen.
Do they send rejection emails or will they call? I have a call scheduled today at 4:30 for "updates"
What was it
Why would a director want to talk to you in person while all feedback is positive and “Packet looks great” ? :)
Okay!
