Crazy people on Blind assume the whole world lives in the Bay. Very good offer for Bentonville, Arkansas.
Eh, major companies are offering way more in low COL areas these days. Amazon in Minnesota offers Seattle wages. Microsoft allows full time WFH with at most a 20% drop in TC for the lowest COL areas. Both of which trump this offer for junior level.
Major "tech" companies. Not everyone is cut out for the FAANG life. This is a solid offer.

@applied materials - how long have you been there though, and is this offer lower than your initial offer, or than your current? Cuz you current would have perf raises etc baked in obv. @OP, I'd say negotiate more on equity, ask for $10k more on base, and ask for a sign on bonus. Justification would be current market rates, comparable offers for comparable role at WMT (but you need to verify this), and viability of your skills/candidacy (if you performed well in the interviews, which I'm assuming you did if they extended an offer).

This is a tech director role right ? Is Bentonville that cheap ? TC is on the lower side compared to tech (Retail) industry range but could be because of low cost of living.

Bentonville is so different than the bay. You get a mansion for 500k. People don't understand cost of living at all
