Director of Engineering in Florida with ~1M TC

I need to move to Florida for personal reasons. Currently M2 at Meta in SF with 1.1M TC. Need help shortlisting companies that would pay 900K+ either remotely or working from office somewhere in Florida. I couldn't find many on levels.fyi/linkedIn, so asking here for help. I should be able to switch to Director role as well, depending on the position and if aligns with my past experience.

If itā€™s not urgent, just wait it out. If itā€™s urgent then be open and trade off, life is not about only TC !

Citadel moved their HQ to Florida. They might pay you that money, but culture is shit

LinkedIn zghbb Apr 17

Why would they do that, don't they need to be in Chicago?

Cruise l5bskeux Apr 17

No state taxes and more capitalism friendly I assume? They are still in Chicago, just moved their HQ

Meta Thor1111 OP Apr 17

Yes, joined in 2021, so 30% appreciation

Make your own

No directors are able to make shit. Some (a few) were in the past, but you get rusty in the fat cow seat. He might get luckier in institutional paths like becoming a VC. However, Florida lol

Worse that can happen is he rejects the offer. Its not like they are going to send him leetcode challenges.
