LayoffsApr 5, 2023

Disappointed by Meta!

Normalize this with the initial size of the company and decide for yourself which company has he worst leadership, least responsible CEO and least respect for its employees!! #layoff #meta #tech #apple #google #amazon #microsoft

Salesforce v4C4dsfef Apr 5, 2023

He did say I take full responsibility for doing this. 😂😂😂😂😂

Intel 09kIWHv4 Apr 5, 2023

Honestly a step up from leadership borderline trying to gaslight everyone into believing that if only each IC had just worked harder then they wouldn't be in that mess as if they weren't an entire circus of clowns at the top [looks pointedly at Intel leadership].

But @Intel do you remember when Bob Swan took the helm, and during one of his first company-wide addresses showed a PowerPoint slide of the dog in the burning house (“this is fine”) and instructed every employee to “pick up a hose” because the company is on fire? 😂 Good times.

Microsoft . . . Apr 5, 2023

You do need to scale by the fraction that are considered for layoff as well. Amazon has relatively fewer corporate employees than many of these.

Meta metalica OP Apr 5, 2023

That’s right, but even if you scale only by tech-employees size I don’t think the top one will change!!

Need to also look at the hire rate during the pandemic the past 2 years as well. All the companies with layoffs hired like crazy. And quite literally the number they hired during that time can be proportionally laid off. Apple didn’t join the work from anywhere virtual hire train. So less layoffs.

Meta metalica OP Apr 5, 2023

Well all true but isn’t that the difference between responsible/good leadership and the bad ones!!

Netflix SuaveDuck Apr 5, 2023

Precisely the difference.
