Hey I have a couple of questions if you don’t mind. 1) is discover remote? The job initially says in office but in the description said WFH may be permissible? 2) what is senior vs lead there? Senior only says 2 YOE while lead says 4 YOE, which doesn’t sound very senior? Thank you
1. Discover is not remote anymore. You need to be either in Chicago or Houston. They might approve WFH in rare scenarios. Remember that you will not be eligible to be promoted if you are remote. Promotions will be advertised for in-person people for 30 days first. 2. There is no real definition for senior vs. lead. It really depends on the team and your manager.
As much as I know they guys are using SAS , SQL,Snowflake ,tablue and some python related libraries.
Copying my questions from the other comment to see if I can get a response from either of you, but a couple of questions if you don’t mind 1) is discover remote? @OP how did you get an interview? Did you just apply online? Trying to understand what works.
I just applied online and was called up for the technical. But they sent me a reject a couple of days before the interview saying they got their candidate. They didn’t even bother to cancel the interview until I reached out to make sure it wasn’t a glitch.
That's unfortunate and sad from their side. They post the same job every 2 days lol so I don't know what's going on. I've about 2 yoe in DS and seem to meet the requirements but never got a response. Is your YOE more than 2?

Friends working at DF,according to many conversations, SQL is super important, they use snowflakes. you should know all kinds of join and some useful windows functions. might ask python, not lc type though. make them like you as a person, not some freak smart applicant
