Has anyone been through interview loop for DE at Discover? Can you please share what’s the difficulty of the interview like?
Just did their process. They asked questions about my resume and then offered me the job. No project or anything. No technical questions.
was it for data engineer? Are you local to job location? In my case they are giving the reject because location doesn’t fit in the criteria. I am in Seattle and job location is Chicago
Yes, data engineer. No, I’m in another city nowhere near Chicago. Fully remote offer.
Hey. Would you mind sharing your interview experience? Similar role but not data engineer
I’m not a data engineer but happy to share perspective where it might help. Phone screen, hiring manager interview, project, then another hiring manager interview. Then I did a four-hour marathon with different managers and adjacent team members. Overall, very chill process. Most people here aren’t tryhards about their job but your mileage may vary.
Thanks for the insights. I wasn’t aware that discover has such long process.
