Discover savings account - Indian on h1b visa - are we exempt from FATCA ?
I'm an Indian working in the USA on an H1b visa. Been here for 1+ years. Discover savings account asks if I'm exempt for FATCA? I know Indian banks are not exempt however not sure if Discover bank/any USA bank is exempt?
If you have more than 50K usd in Indian accounts(bank and investments) then you aren’t exempt from FATCA
