IRS Warns Thousands of Taxpayers They Could Face Jail Time
I'll be as transparent as possible. I'm in the BAGIA team, and I remember it clearly that when all the BLM protests were going on, there were multiple hour long team discussions regarding the BLM protests, and the African American history in US. Most probably because our team lead is an African American. He organized multiple meetings, sent multiple emails and shared his views and experiences in US. But nothing has been done to address the growing hate against Asians, especially given that there are 5+ Asians in our team. Not once he has mentioned this issue. Not once he has tried to address this issue, guess because he's not an Asian, and he can only understand what African Americans go through and not what we as Asians go through. To be honest, I expected much more than him, especially when he is so active in these kinds of discussions. But no, not a single word has been mentioned by him. Hope this changes soon. Update: It's very shocking to see how people are behaving. People are like "it's your problem, you deal with it". But when it was the BLM movement, that was a whole different story. Guess, what would have happened if I had told African Americans, "Hey, its your problem, you deal with it". #microsoft #bagia #asians #blm
wtf is bagia?

Tell me if I'm wrong. Has he or anyone said anything about this issue, especially when we are 5+ Asians in our group.
Is anyone Asian on your team advocating for this to happen? Maybe your manager and other non Asians on your team want to leave space for someone who actually has experience to take the lead on this kind of discussion. IMO it's a bit tone deaf for someone who's not a certain race to assert leadership on issues that are affecting a different race, maybe your manager feels the same way. I would just indicate interest to your manager in having a similar kind of discussion, and expect that you will be one of the ones leading it since it's your own experience and not theirs
Iâve had a lot of Asian friends -and their parents- tell me theyâve been harassed while just out walking around. Simple things like car honks and yelling, and worse things like throwing beer bottles. Itâs real and not everyone is brought to justice.
@fantam that is so true. Have experienced that myself
Just because the Presidential election is over! Lol Do not be too naive. Everything you can see is politically driven. Tbh BLM is a racism by itself.
Elaborate?
Microsoftâs definition of diversity only covers two races. It is a shame that a company like Microsoft has stopped treating everyone as equals.
Which two races? Black and Mexican?
Black and Latino.
Silence is violence
No it isnât.
Did you raise this concern with him? Maybe he is uncomfortable leading that discussion for a team with many Asian members. It should be discussed.
Hey sorry that sucks. Have you mentioned anything? It might be worth bringing it up.
