I keep seeing lot of posts in LinkedIn from Disney+ Hotstar recruiters advertising permanent WFH and WLB (blind says otherwise for WLB). - How much do they pay for backend SDE with 8 years of experience? - How does their tech stack look like? - Is the WLB still bad? - How’s does levels match with YOE? A lot has changed here at DS+HS. Honestly I moved from GS and hotstar is miles ahead in terms on wlb compared to GS. It does get a little hectic during IPL days but I really like the work here. Which team are you trying for? - Pay will be depending on what role you get SSDE1 or SSDE2. - Tech stack is modern mostly golang for high concurrency services. - WLB is much better (I only have GS to compare it to) - My guess is SSDE1 is for 6-10 YoE.
It seems culture has changed after Disney took over. I am not actively interviewing, but keeping a tab on companies offerring WFM (in case my current org asks for RTO). Any ball park estimate for 8 yrs exp?
No estimate. You can check levels.fyi for an idea. My guess is they can go upto 70-80L for TC.
