Got an offer from Disney as architect .Have 13 exp (but 2 years initially worked on non it)...I am planning not to disclose it as it affect my negotiations.Heard Disney does background verification upto 7 years.....any idea
Background checks in the tech industry are a joke. They only care if you have a felony for child molesting.
Is that a humblebrag?
Only criminal and a bit of finance background check (default, etc). They don’t care about job history.
I've heard from guy that his starting date was delayed as new employer tried to call overseas university he graduated ~10 years ago.
My Q is specific to Disney 🙄
They will check your current job and verify criminal and education but don’t usually go back more than 5 years if your experience is recent for the role you’re applying.
As long as you’re not actively lying and misrepresenting yourself why would they care? You interviewed for the job and they think you’re the right person. Also what was the offer?
