I know 3 people with New Grad offers at Meta, none have any experience. Everyday I wake up to 2-3 intern offer posts from Meta on LinkedIn. What happened to "keeping the company lean"? Will this spur a round of layoffs again lol #meta #tech
If that were true, no one would be rejected.
I mean this is purely anecdotal after all... But I have 2 more friends who are doing their New Grad interview next week so I can update you on that. Just going off the trend it doesn't look like the acceptance rate is that low
Aren’t new grads supposed to have no experience? Am I missing something here?
I mean in a field where most people now have internship experience and/or good schools it's kind of wild to see people with nothing except "Waitress @ Denny's" get $200K out of college while I hear people with experience on LinkedIn posting about how they have a FAANG internship and no new grad offer. Not trying to sound like a hater but I think some people would agree
Oh, I assumed they did have internship experience.
They need people to PIP...
They do that there?
Why is the DEI comment necessary? They aren’t black or Hispanic or visibly gay/trans so they must be good and legit hires?
No, i'm just putting it out there as I know that is the first thing the people on this website jump to... But it has been removed
Fair point. I’m Hispanic, but I think language like that is what keeps people like you and me kind of “below” the Asians and Indians. I hate DEI bro
Hire to Fire
They just opened up the headcount. Those people were probably waiting for team matching for a month or so on average, and then got their formal offers around the same time
I got rejected after getting 100% OA in 35 mins with two faang equivalent internships so idk

How bad is it in meta?
They’re not handing interviews out to everyone. But everyone who gets an interview basically gets offer since the question bank is on leetcode 😂 metas interview process for coding is probably easiest out of the FAANGs
I've heard the exact opposite
I used to hear the questions were gonna be med + hard. But no one I know got harder than a med. It was easy + med for both coding rounds. And one of the meds wasn't full solved for two of the guys. But I guess if you can explain your approach it might not matter
