You need to get each trade approved, hold for at least 30 days, no options or margin trading
What
30 days?
Not everyone requires an approval. Depends on team whether or not they have access to non public material knowledge. My past role required preclearance but new role doesn’t.
What's your new role?
This is contingent on your role and line of business. I have transferred teams twice and both teams permit me to actively day trade. I am a Software Engineer
This is only for certain LOBs like AWM. Not everyone is required to preclear
If you are required to pre clear trade, better do it before executing order with your broker. All brokers share details of trade executed by jp morgan employees to jp morgan and they don't need your consent to do so.
Yes if it is single name, pre-aprooved. For index etf no pre, mutual funds no pre, fixed income no pre and you can do options only as coverage.
Why arent we allowed to trade without telling jpmc?????? Jpmc doesn’t tell me any secretes about stocks or inside news, so why the F are they doing this?
Federal regulations, e.g., it's the law. Trust me, JP Morgan would rather not be in the business of monitoring and approving your trades.

Yes, but you just need to get it approved, which isn't difficult; there's an in-house automated portal.
