Companies like Yahoo, Quora, Groupon, and etc, that used to be really popular but are not anymore, are said to be dying/sinking/etc (I'm not actually saying they are dying. Just saying those that are 'said to be dying by some people online'). Even though the product itself may be losing users, the tech behind it was built to handle large scale userbase. I'm wondering if I join these kind of companies, would I still learn a lot from the tech/people there and have career growth? Also, would recruiters still value the name of those companies and make me have higher chance of getting interviews? 'Hindutva': The Radical Hindu Ideology That Seeks to 'Push Christianity Out of India’
I think if you join a “dying” company, they likely wont have funding for new projects and it’ll mostly be in maintenance mode. These companies might give a visibility if you are from an even more no-name company. But not sure if you can expect much career growth from maintenance of the projects.
