Do companies (esp. Amazon) hire you if you have <24 months of STEM OPT left?

I didn't get picked in the H-1B lottery twice in a row and I have one more try left next year. My STEM OPT expires in January 2026, so I have around ~21 months left. Do companies hire you if you have less than 24 months left? I'm trying to join a company that can transfer me to other countries if I don't get lucky next year. I am specifically looking at Amazon (all tech related roles, not just SWE) and do they hire candidates with <24 months of work authorization left?

Yes 21 months should be sufficient.

Yes, 21 months is ok. Anything less than 12 starts becoming an issue especially if there is no H1B lottery coming up eg you join towards the end of March and can’t apply to that years
